Dateline: Wingate, NC Joyce Elaine Sloop Propst, 65, passed away January 20, 2016. Joyce was born in Cabarrus County, NC on September 19, 1950 to the late Harley Wilson and Elsie Karriker Sloop. Joyce was a retired school teacher for Union County Public Schools. At the request of the family funeral services will be private. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Kristen Jarrett (Matthew) of Marshville. In addition to her parents Joyce was preceded in death by her husband George Propst.
