Joy, 75, of Wingate, NC went to be with her heavenly Father at home with family by her side on September 15, 2020 after a long battle with Dementia. She leaves behind her daughter Julie and her husband Buck, grandchildren; Shane, Dylin, Jennifer, Julie, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin. Joy was a devout Christian, loved her Lord, she had an unmatched work ethic, and never failed to provide for her family's needs. She loved crocheting and made some of the most beautiful things to which she usually gave away. Later in her years she grew interested in beaded jewelry and made many beautiful pieces. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Holland Funeral Service. A private burial will be held at Centerview Baptist Church following the visitation. She specifically requested NO FLOWERS. Donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude's or Atrium Hospice of Monroe. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
