Joyce Ann Dutton, 80, passed away on October 8, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Gurthy Williams and Nina Furr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 17th at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

She was preceded in passing by her husband of 31 years, Robert "Bobby" Dutton, her parents, Gurthy Williams and Nina Furr Williams, her brothers, Cecil Williams, Dolin Williams, Aubrey Williams, and sisters, Mary Lorraine Tucker and Beulah Benton.

Joyce was married to her beloved husband, Bobby Dutton. She enjoyed mowing her lawn and baking sweets. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. Joyce cherished every moment she was able to spend with her great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her granddaughter, Summer Rose (James Palmer), her siblings, Rayford Williams and Emma Williams, her step-daughter, Andrea Butler, her grandkids, Matthew Calloway and Joe Butler, and her great-grandchildren, Clayton Rose-Palmer and June Rose-Palmer.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Union County, NC, and all the staff members who provided care and support to Joyce during this time. We would also like to extend a special thank you to her nurses and CNAs. Jennifer, Samantha, Vicki, and the many others who cared for her with compassion and kindness.
