Mrs. Joyce Baucom Boswell, age 67, entered her heavenly home Saturday, August 31, 2019. Joyce was born in Union County, NC on August 7th, 1952 to the late Clarence and Mildred Baucom. Joyce served as a devoted wife, loving mother, precious Mawmaw, and a dear friend to all who loved her. She loved spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren. Joyce was a strong woman of faith always putting others before herself. She loved to sing and used her voice to minister to others through the church choir. No matter the situation Joyce always chose to find the good in everything. Joyce is survived by her husband of 48 years, Benny Marshall Boswell; 2 children: Crystal Bunn (Chris) and Kevin Boswell; 4 grandchildren: Lauren Bunn, Kayla Bunn, Tyler Bunn, and Devin Boswell; brother Wayne Baucom (Gail); sisters: Janice Eury (Rick) and Rose Phifer (Jeff). Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday September 2, 2019 at Solid Rock Baptist church, 2021 Claude Austin Rd. Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive guests prior to the service from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
