The Celebration of Life Service will be held on November 20, 2021 at 12 pm, at Abundant Life Church (3321 Matthews- Mint Hill Rd, Matthews, NC, 28105). Joseph is survived by his well-loved wife, Paula Robinson. His daughter Theresa Barnovich and son Jonathan Benitez. His sisters Jewell and Billy Sam Wedgeworth and Helen Rogers; brothers Dean Robinson and Freddie Robinson. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Corimes Robinson; his brothers Keith, David, Jim, Mike Robinson and his sister Myrtle Innis. Joseph loved well and was a well- loved man. He was known for his conversations that would turn a stranger into a friend. From his smile, you knew Joseph knew Jesus and that Jesus lived in his heart. Joseph was passionate about reading and studying the Word of God and always tried to portray the gospel in any of his conversations he had. In Louisville, Kentucky, on May 5, 1942, Joseph was born. From an early age, Joseph learned the value of a dollar and helped his family. From this, his work ethic became strong and his values grew deep. Throughout his years, he worked as a plumber and a pipe fitter. Different seasons of life brought new blessings and different struggles but it always led Joe where he needed to be- ultimately, leading Joseph to meet and marry Paula in 1999. Going to antique car shows and learning about different trains were some of Joe's hobbies. He also enjoyed spending time on a boat and going fishing. Joseph and his wife, Paula loved dogs and loved surrounding themselves with dogs- it kept him always busy and fulfilled his time after retirement enjoyably. Above all, Joseph loved when family and friends got together for holidays and events- his smile confirmed that. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Abundant Life Church or Holland Funeral Service. The family of Joseph Allen Robinson would like to share their gratitude of support and prayers that have been given and felt during this time of grief.
