Johnny Darryl Norton, 64, passed away June 17, 2026. He was born in Richmond County, North Carolina on May 26, 1962 to the late Benjamin Thomas Norton and Helen Norton. Johnny was a man who loved his family and cherished every moment he was able to spend with his wife and sons. He could often be found cruising around in his mustang or headed to the pond with his fishing pole. Johnny was also a Carolina Panther’s fan and enjoyed every game he was able to watch. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his siblings, Toni Annette Carpenter, and Donna Norton McLean.

Johnny is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Norton, children, Joshua Allen Norton, Amanda Williams (Timothy), and Jeremy Lee Norton; stepchild, Savanna Taylor (Andrew); grandsons, Reid and Trace; and a host of nieces and nephews.
