John Wayne Phillips, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 09, 2026. He was born January 6, 1948 in Union County, North Carolina, to the late J.D. Phillips and Juanita Phillips.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in passing by his brother, David Phillips.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his sister, Dorothy Bigham.

John enjoyed fishing every chance he got and was a devoted NASCAR fan.
