John Frankie Dabbs, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Clara Dabbs.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Gertrude Elizabeth Dabbs; his son, Eugene Schott (Donna); his daughters, Renee Thomasson (Sid) and Simone Nikodem; his grandchildren, Sarah Nikodem, Ryan Nikodem, Madison Schott, and Tyler Brock; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a local food bank.
