� John Douglas "Cotton" Hartis, 58, passed away on October 2, 2016. Cotton was born in Union County on October 9, 1957 to the late Harry Lee and Patricia Simpson Hartis. To Cotton's friends and family that would like to come by to see and pay respect to Cotton, they may do so on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Holland Funeral Service from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cotton is survived by his companion of� 20 years Nancy White and her daughter Sara Jean Long, �daughter; Katie Lee Hartis, brothers; James "Calvin" Hartis (Brenda) of Monroe, Robert Hartis of Pageland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
