Jeff is survived by his son, Dax Brooks Emry; daughter, English Manon Emry; brothers, Jay Emry (Kathy), and Jerome Emry (Tami); sisters, Judy Halversen, and Jan Taylor (Dennis); grandchildren, Skylar and Lily Morgan, and Carter Brooks Emry.
In high school, Jeff attended and graduated from Newport Harbor High School and furthered his education at Butte College in Chico, California where he majored in anthropology and art. North Carolina would always be home for Jeff. He returned home as soon as he graduated. His incredible talents in art led him to a career in fine framing. He and his brother, Jay, opened "The Emry Gallery" located in Myers Park, Charlotte, North Carolina. Later, Jeff pursued his passion in horses. He worked for Cato Farms. He loved competing in Polo with the Cato family.
Jeff's greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Among many things, Jeff was a very selfless and kind father and friend.
Jeff was a member at Weddington United Methodist Church and was involved in the Caring Heart Ministry. He loved spending time at Pleasant Grove Campground in Mineral Springs. He was a "true lifer."
The family would like to express their appreciation to the many friends who prayed and assisted Jeff during his illness. Also, to Union County Hospice for their outstanding care.
