Jeanette Griffin Helms, 71, passed away January 7, 2019. Jeanette was born in Davidson County, NC on November 16, 1947 to the late Marion Frank Forrest and Peggy Bates Forrest. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Forest Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Neal Workman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 PM until 6:45 PM. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn East Cemetery at 10:00 AM Friday, January 11, 2019. Jeanette is survived by her faithful companion, Tipsy the Toy Poodle; son, Shawn Griffin (Priscilla); daughter, Becky Ashburner (Bo); 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and Bobby Helms. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ray Griffin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brookdale - Union Park Assisted Living.
