Waxhaw, NC James Allen Russell, 30, passed away October 29, 2017. James was born in Yadkin County, NC on September 12, 1987, to Michael Coker Russell and Kelly Payne Russell. James was a very loving and kind person with a heart of gold.�Growing up James played baseball, soccer and was a Boy Scout. James cherished his family and had been in a long term relationship with Sarah Rhees and loved her children Adian, Alli and Ava Rhees as if they were his own. � � � � A service to celebrate James's life will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Ellington Funeral Service's Historic Morehead Street Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00 PM. James is survived by his mother; Kelly Russell, father; Michael Russell, brother; Michael C. Russell II, sister; Amber Russell (Lee Harvey), grandmother; Linda B. Masten, aunt; Shawn Allen (Richard), cousins; Greyson Allen, Joshua Mullins, and Ashley Cromer.
