Jackie Helms, 61, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016. Born in Union County, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon "Sonny" Helms; parents, Lawrence Helms, Sr, and Lena Helms; brother, Lawrence Helms, Jr.; sister, Linda Ehrheart; and her grandson, Noah Helms. Jackie's immediate family includes her children, Scott Helms (Kelly), Andy Helms, and Kelly Sprouse (Forrest); brothers, Joe Helms, Donnie Helms, and Bobby Helms; sisters, Joyce Trull, Kay Hobbs, Patsy Bullock, Debra Elkins, and Toni Flenner; six grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 6pm at Love Baptist Church in Monroe. A celebration of life service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Don Thompson officiating.
