Jack Leopold Hess Jr., 66, passed away August 25, 2018. Jack was born on August 15, 1952 to the late Jack Sr. and Marjorie Godfrey Hess. Funeral services will be private. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Laney Hess; son, Steve Hess of Lake Park; daughters, Nicole Funderburk (Eric) of Monroe, Carrie Edwards (Dave) of Cornelious; sisters, Mary Lou Hess, Kathy, Lynn Gough (Doug), Sue; grandchildren, Madison Mosley (Preston), Myles Guffey, Nathan Funderburk, Anna Claire Funderburk, Chase Edwards, Cameron Edwards; and great-grandchild, Maxwell Mosley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County at 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC, 28110.
