Henry Burtis “Butch” Morris Jr. of Wesley Chapel, NC. Born April 7th, 1950. Died December 18th, 2025. Grew up in Matthews, NC. Graduated in 1968 from East Mecklenburg High School. 

Visitation will be at Holland Funeral Service in Monroe, NC on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 from 10:00am-11:30am.

Burt was very proud of his service to his country, serving in the US Navy on a minesweeper. He loved God and had such a loving heart and a giving spirit. He found happiness on the open road, whether behind the wheel of his Corvette or riding his Harley. He had a passion for music and playing his drums, being self-taught and becoming quite adept. He could jimmy-rig just about anything and had a wonderful sense of humor. He never missed a chance to joke and laugh. He took great pride in caring for his home and yard, creating a space that reflected his hard work and dedication. Burt was devoted to his family, community, neighbors and friends, finding joy in being a mentor to many. He will be missed dearly and will forever be cherished in our hearts.
