Hazel Virginia Benton Crump, 81, passed away September 3, 2019. Ms. Crump was born in Union County, NC on May 28, 1938 to the late Everette and Earlie Mae Stegall Benton. She will be remembered as a great mother, Maw-Maw, and that she was a great person to everyone who knew her. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Tell It To Jesus Revival Center in Wingate. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday September 6, 2019 at Holland Funeral Service & Crematory. Ms. Crump will be laid to rest following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Anthony "Tony" R. Crump; daughter, Debra Dianne Crump; brother, Eddie Benton; sisters, Rachel Crooke, Helen Williams, Shirley Helms, Linda Webb, and Elaine Brooks; grandchildren, Tasha Long, Laura Hill, Brandi Cruz, Mark Santana; great-grandchildren, Angel Lammonds, Savannah Lammonds, Bryanna Smith, Desmond Coffey, Omarion Huntley, Justice Gingham, Ava Gingham, Sebastian Gingham, Jonah Santana, Emalyn Santana, and Levi Santana. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Marvin Smith Crump; daughter, Sandra Dee Crump Starnes; and brothers, Everette J. Benton, and Lonnie F. Benton. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
