Dateline: Marshville, NC Gladys Victoria Mills Rape, 94, passed away March 30, 2019 at Autumn Care of Marshville. Ms. Rape was born in Union County, NC on January 13, 1925 to the late Spofford William Mills and Lucinda McCoy Mills. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Pond Baptist Church, 78 Wolf Pond Church Rd., Pageland SC, 29728. A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Rape will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Wolf Pond Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest following the service in the Church cemetery. Ms. Rape is survived by her daughters, Barbara Plyler (Bill), Kathryn Arant (Billy Ray) of Pageland, SC, Edith Sweatt, Vickie Greene, and Patsy Mangum (Ronnie) of Monroe, NC; sons, Dennis Rape (Janet), Joseph Rape (Peggy) of Monroe, NC; brothers, Woodrow Mills, and Buddy Mills of Monroe, NC; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Rape; son, Parley Rape; grandsons, Jason Rape, and Perry Rape; sisters, Estelle Mills, Virginia Starnes, and Virgie Rogers; brothers, William Mills, Albert Mills, and Dillon Mills. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wolf Pond Baptist Church. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
