Ethel Hilton Helms,92, passed Thursday October 26, 2023. She was born May 18, 1931, to the late Wiley and Eliza Jane Hilton. Ethel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was the best cook and loved watching the hummingbirds. Her green thumb was shown to all with her love of planting flowers. Getting to spend time with her family and learning everything about them was a treasured time for her.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe NC 28112. The family will receive friends at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive Monroe NC 28112, prior to the service from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in passing by her husband, Billy Chat Helms, and her daughter Linda Kay Presson

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Phyllis Helms Mackey, and Levia Bartlett (John). Her sister Christina Ross, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
