Erica Brooke Thomas, 38, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was born August 17, 1983, in Union County, North Carolina. Erica was a devoted mother, and her children were the center of her world. She will be remembered by her affectionate smile and loving spirit. She touched many lives and truly loved helping others. Erica lived life to the fullest and enjoyed all that life had to offer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Lee Park Church, 2491 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Erica is survived by her children, Braxton Warren Poteat, and Kendall Brooke Laney; mother, Tracy Little Thomas; father, Charles Perry Thomas (Sandy); sister, Ashley Melton (Byron); brothers, Brandon Thomas (Shelby), Tyler Funderburke; maternal grandparent, Larry Little; paternal grandparents, Larry and Shirley Thomas. Erica is preceded in passing by her grandmother, Nancy Lavaughn Little. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
