Doris Geraldine King, age 84, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away on May 19, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Clarence L. King Sr., whom she shared, soon to be, 70 years with on May 26th. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Sanford and Flossie McManus, her son, Darrell King, and numerous brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2021 Claude Austin Road, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM.

Doris is survived by her husband, Clarence L. King Sr., her daughter, Debbie Johnson (Barry), her sons, Clarence King Jr. ( Ruth), and Tim King (Mickie); her grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Rusty Johnson, Lisa Weber, Jason King, Daniel King, Joe King, and Aaron King, along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She enjoyed every opportunity she had to spend with her family and friends. She could often be found working in her garden with the many flowers she loved. She was also a crafty lady, who loved coloring and diamond art.
