Donald Jason Harrell, 46, of Marshville, NC, passed away at Atrium Pineville on May 26, 2026, surrounded by his family. Jason was born on May 29, 1979, in Union County to Jimmy Layne & the late Sandra Gail Hannah Harrell. He was married to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Jamie Smith Harrell. Jason graduated from Monroe High in 1997. After a short time working for Union Electric, he moved into the garage door business. He worked for Cox Doors for over 20 years. He grew up loving all kinds of racing, especially dirt track and NASCAR. After marrying, Jason and Jamie enjoyed traveling anywhere there was sun, sand, and water, especially the Caribbean with family and friends.

Jason was preceded in passing by his mother, Gail Hannah Harrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years & his four-legged furbaby, Dallas; his father, Layne, and special friend, Sheree Walker; in-laws, Keith & Catherine Smith; sisters-in-laws, Jess Earley (Joe) and Jenny Evans (Donovan); special niece, Ember Evans; and other extended family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 1:00-1:45 PM at Faulks Baptist Church, Marshville, NC, with a memorial service to follow.
