Mr. Don Linwood James, 72, passed away July 28, 2020. Don was born in Union County, NC on June 15, 1948 to the late Bill James and Louise Rebekah Tice James. Don proudly served in the U.S. Army. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family, and was an avid horse, and dog lover. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Austin Grove Baptist Church. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 2:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary. Don will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery. Don is survived by his daughters, Erika Peterson (Jim), Jenna James(Tanner Norris); son, Justin James; sister, Carolyn Haigler (Joe); grandchildren, Shawn and Jacob Peterson; and Ruby Jordan. Don was preceded in passing by his parents Bill and Louise James. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
