Dillon Michael Collodi, age 26, died in his home on February 9, 2019 from an acute illness. Beloved son of Cameron and Greg Jones of Wingate. Big Brother to Taylar Jones. Dillon was a supervising Sergeant with G4S Special Police Force patrolling Charlotte area Transit System. Dillon lived every moment of his life with passion and enthusiasm for all the things he loved. He had a taste for all exotic spicy foods. He was an adventure seeker, gaming extraordinaire, eclectic music lover and cycling enthusiast. Starbucks will feel his absence, as he was an avid coffee drinker. His free time was spent with his family and great friends made through the police force. He will always be remembered for his ginger hair, golden heart and infectious laughter. Dillon is survived by his grandparents, Belva and Leland Stanley of Wingate, J.O. Vickers of Georgia, Phil and Sharon Jones of Marshville; Aunts and Uncles, Shane Vickers, Jay Brandon & Jayme Hargett, Beth Johnson of Marshville; Cousins, Kaylin Parker, Trace Hargett, Grant and Bryan Johnson; and numerous cousins and great aunts and uncles. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Monroe Country Club on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM. The family wishes to extend an invitation for light refreshments after the service to remember and share stories of Dillon. Holland Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
