Denise Dawn Sears, 63, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly and was given her wings to walk with the angels in her new heavenly home on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. She was born March 16, 1957 in North Hollywood, California to Judith Harwood and the late Charles Almada. Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Rd., Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm prior to the service at the church. She is survived by her husband, Craig Sears; daughters, Katelynn Sears, Tamara Mason, and Annette Conti; mother, Judy Harwood; brothers, Tim and Steve Schumacher; sister, Rene Almada; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her two fur-babies, and many other special family members and friends. Denise was married to the love of her life and best friend, Craig Sears, for seventeen amazing years. She was a vibrant and sassy woman who would light up any room with her infectious smile. Among many things, Denise was a very spiritual and crafty woman. She loved to make wreaths of every color and size. She had a love for her family and friends like no other. Denise was role model and best friend to her beautiful daughters. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for those girls; they shared a bond with each other that could never be broken. Denise's children will always carry her memory in their hearts. Although Denise had daughters of her own, there were so many more children that looked up to her as a mother and called her "mom". She would welcome anyone in with open arms and truly loved everyone in her life. There was a cute inside joke in Denise's family that you would always know when she woke up in the morning because you could hear her footsteps pounding across the upstairs floor. In fact, the day after her passing the family knew she had made it to heaven because they could hear the thunder of her footsteps as she arrived in the heavens above greeting her sweet beloved dog, Sophia at the gates. Denise was truly the most beautiful soul and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
