Debbie Ann Melton, 70, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was born in Anson County on May 26, 1956 to the late John David Johnson and Georgie Lee Johnson.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and making cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in passing by her brothers, Bill Johnson, John (June) David Johnson Jr., and Gary Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Clyde Harold Melton, brother, Rick Johnson (Susan), sisters, Angela Johnson, Betty Johnson, and Elaine Hilliard (Charles), daughters, Tammy Baucom (Tim), Jennifer Harris (Tony), and step daughter, Dana (Deedee) Gill (Richard), sons, David Hall (Liesl) and CJ Newsome, grandchildren, Ashley Hall, Christopher Hall, Austin Hinkley, Jackson Harris, Everly Harris, Caden Jones, Richard Gill Jr, Colleen Carrell, and Jack Gill, and great grandchildren, Saydee, Karter, Ivy, Alonzo, Leilani, and Richard.
