David L. Lowrance, 64, passed away on November 5, 2026. He was the son of the late Charles Lowrance and Barbara Jean Lowrance.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 14th, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, North Carolina, 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 PM.
Dave will be remembered for being a proud father and a proud veteran. He served as a Sergeant when leaving the Air Force after ten years of dedicated service and took pride in his multiple deployments. He cherished all of his service memories. Before his disease progression, he enjoyed many hobbies with loved ones and dear friends, including bowling, disc golf, Nascar, and throwing darts. He shared the love of poker with his son, Matt, which led him to run a series 7 poker league. You could always find Dave jamming to music and cheering on Tennessee and his Miami Dolphins. Dave will also be remembered for being young at heart with his grandkids.
In addition to his father, Dave was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, James Welton Taylor, Bernice Sheppard, Mattie and David “Ernest” Lowrance.
Dave is survived by his mother, Barbara Lowrance, and his two children, Matt Lowrance and Allison (Jason) Hager, his grandchildren who are honored to carry on his memory, Noah Martin, Mackenzie Martin, Easton Hager, Adalynn Hager, Abigail Lowrance, and Keith Lowrance. He will also be missed by his two siblings, Terri (Mark) Warnick of Paragould, AR, and Steve (Karen) Lowrance of Myrtle Beach, SC, along with his nieces, nephews, and extended family. His absence will also be felt strongly by his long time Gulf War friend, Paul Kelly, and his beloved puppy, Baylee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his memory to the Wounded Warriors Foundation (support.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Tunnel for Towers (t2t.org).
Holland Funeral Service is serving the Lowrance family.
