David Calvin Moore, 57, of Wingate North Carolina born December 10, 1968 passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026 with his wife and family by his side. He drew his last breath on this side of earth and his forever breath in heaven with a new body and no more pain.

Calvin was preceded in death by his mother Judy Price Moore and Mother-in-law Pamela Whitley Hilton.

Calvin was a devoted husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle and great uncle. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 ½ years "Liz" and their cherished fur baby Piper of the home. He is also survived by his father Joseph Calvin Moore, his sister Karen Moore Eason (Louis), his brother Jesse Stephen Moore and his brother-in-laws Jerrod Hilton (Melissa) John Hargett, Dwayne Hilton, Jeremy Hilton (Gina) and his father-in-law Jerry Hilton.

Calvin leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who will forever treasure his memory. Calvin never wanted the recognition for the gestures he did while on this earth but when he loved; it was deep and fierce and you knew he was always in your corner.

Calvin was the proud owner of C & L Lawn Care where he built not only a business but a lasting relationship with those he served, He was known for his strong work ethics, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need- truly the kind of a man who would give you the shirt off this back if needed and want nothing in return.

In his free time, Calvin enjoyed fishing and RC car racing, hobbies that brought him peace, excitement, and camaraderie. He found joy in the simple things in life, like watching wrestling with his wife Liz, cuddling with his fur baby piper, watching Antique Roadshows, Wicked Tuna, Nascar, or just piddling in his building, his peace was being at home. He was the protector of the Family Homestead and was always watching over everything, he is now watching from above and will still and forever be the protector from heaven.

Calvin's warmth, generosity, and steady presence with be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and hard work will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be on Thursday March 12, 2026 at Rock Rest Community Clubhouse located at 905 Old Pageland Monroe Road, Monroe NC 28112 between 5-8pm.
