Obituary

Darlinda Strawn Morris, 63, passed away June 25, 2026. She was born April 20, 1963 to Phil Strawn and the late Beverly Strawn Mullis. Darlinda will be remembered for her infectious laugh and the love she showed to others. She loved to tell jokes and cherished every moment she was able to spend with her family. Darinda also loved to travel and would never miss an opportunity to travel to the mountains. She also enjoyed the little things in life. She loved cooking Filipino food and enjoyed anything Disney related. Darlinda also worked as an LPN for many years. She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the Fellowship Hall at Hamilton Cross Roads Baptist Church, 6133 Old Goldmine Rd, Marshville, NC 28103

In addition to her mother, Beverly Strawn Morris, Darlinda is preceded in passing by her granddaughter, Raina McIntosh.

Darlinda is survived by her beloved husband, Lindsay Morris, father, Phil Strawn (Kay), children, Christa Rushing, Mollie Hargette (Andrew), Anna Berrier, Christopher Morris, and Katie Morris White; grandchildren, Cora Rushing, Caroline Rushing, Corrine Rushing, CJ Rushing, Coulson Rushing, Carlyn Rushing, London Purser, Arden Hargette, Baylor Hargette, August Hargette, and Antonio White; siblings, Rodney Strawn (Jamie), Karen Strawn Webb (Frank), and Heather Strawn Fretz (Steve); eight nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members and friends.
