Daniel "Danny" Woodrow Smetzer, 62, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020. Danny was born on January 23, 1958 to the late George Irvin Smetzer and Betty Ebersole Smetzer. The family will have a private event to celebrate the life of Danny. Danny is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Tammy Smetzer; sons, Daniel Smetzer, Tommy Smetzer, John Smetzer, and Eric; daughter, Jackie; nine brothers, three sisters, grandchildren and many other special family members and friends. Danny was an amazing father and family man. His love for his family outweighed any obstacle in his life. Danny fought a courageous battle with cancer and through his strength and love for his family, he persevered and won that battle. He was a man who loved to hunt, and fish and he especially loved to grill. Given the opportunity, Danny would feed the entire neighborhood. Danny was always looking for a reason to fire-up his grill. Even in his brief moments of weakness and recovery, he would invite the nursing staff over to attend a cookout at his house. He was a loving man and knew no stranger.
