Corum Kendall Rushing, 81, passed away March 15, 2026. He was born in Union County, North Carolina on May 26, 1944 to the late John Corum Rushing and Jimmie Paige Rushing. As a believer in Christ, Kendall was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is resting with his Lord and Savior.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30am on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Mr. Rushing will be laid to rest with military honors in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

A Public Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service from 11:00am until 11:30am.

After high school, Kendall, joined the military. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. He served overseas during the Vietnam War. He also served as a Military Policeman. After his army career, Kendall worked as a security guard for many years before retirement. One of Kendall’s greatest accomplishments was serving as the Exalted Ruler of the Post 1517 Elk Lodge from 1997 until 1998. Kendall will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, John Corum Rushing, and Jimmie Paige Rushing, and brother-in-law, Joseph Estelle.

Kendall is survived by his siblings, Wanda Estelle, Terry Kiker (Douglas), Jeramy Rushing, Don Rushing (Teresa), and Joy Smith (Joe), and numerous nieces and nephews.
