Charles James Stevenson, 72, passed away August 17, 2017. Mr. Stevenson was born in Union County, NC on August 4, 1945 to the late Eula Plyler Griffin and William Ralph Stevens. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Peachland, NC with Rev. Timothy Helms officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM. Entombment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Stevenson is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Helms Stevenson; children, Kim Stevenson (Sandra), Sharon Bell (Gary), Sandra Stevenson (Jr.); 6�grandchildren and 7�great grandchildren; brother's, Ralph Stevens (Margaret) of Wingate, Jamie Griffin (Debbie) of Peachland, Billy Griffin (Jane) of Sallisaw, OK; sister's, Nancy Gaffney of Columbia, S.C., Brenda Howey (Micheal) Monroe, Vickie Lisenby (Thomas) of Monroe, and Barbara Wallace of Harrisburg, NC.
