Charles Edward Knight was received into the arms of Jesus fully renewed on July 2nd, 2026. He was born on April 11th, 1964, to the late Edward Boyd and Iva Lee Knight.
Charles was an extraordinary man of God with a servant’s heart. He spent his life pursuing his Savior, Jesus Christ, and it was evident in everything he did. His faith was as strong as his love for his family. Charles adored his wife of 41 years, “Miss Connie”, which he so sweetly called her. He loved her with all of his being. Together they raised their daughters, April (Jarrod) Bess and Lauren (Drew) Handsel, in a house that was built firm on the foundation of Christ.
Charles had a heart for ministry. Sharing the love of Jesus was what brought him so much joy and purpose to his life. Being apart of creative ministries was one of his driving forces in sharing the Gospel. From driving the 15-passenger van on mission trips, canvassing neighborhoods, inviting families to backyard Bible clubs, to organizing the “Son Celebration”, were some of the many things he did to share the gospel of Christ. He wanted to shine a light on his Savior.
As a true family man, Charles would do anything to be a part of whatever his girls and “Miss Connie” were doing. Spending time working backstage for every ballet production his girls danced in, cheering them on from the bleachers, teaching them life lessons, strolling hand in hand on the beach with the love of his life, and being present for any important life event. He truly set the bar extremely high for how a man should love his wife and children. Another big part of Charles’s life was his grandbabies, Noah, Brynlee, Brystol, Andi, and Peyton. They were his entire world, and he loved them wholeheartedly. He also leaves behind his sisters, Angela Aldridge, Vickie (Kenneth) Schneider, and brother, Danny (Wanda) Knight, and many nieces and nephews.
While Charles is no longer here in his earthly body, we can rest assured that he is healed and rejoicing with his Father in Heaven, who promises eternal life through salvation.
The family would like to invite all who knew and loved Charles to a visitation on Tuesday, July 7th, from 6 to 8 pm at Holland Funeral Service in Monroe, NC. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 8th, at 3 pm at Centerview Baptist Church in Marshville, NC.
