Dateline: Waxhaw, NC Cecelia Neal, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.��A native of Waxhaw, NC, Cecelia graduated from Parkwood High School and Western Carolina University.��She was preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Alice Neal, and her brother, Stephen Neal.� �Cecelia will be remembered as an actress, a storyteller and an animal lover.��She was a member of the Waxhaw Scottish Society and performed in the outdoor drama, Listen and Remember.��She and her mother owned and operated Main Street Florist in Waxhaw for a number of years.��A member of Waxhaw United Methodist Church, Cecelia enjoyed singing in the choir at Pleasant Grove Campground.� �Special thanks to the staff at Monroe Rehabilitation Center and Melissa Stroupe of Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, for their compassionate and professional care. �A graveside service to celebrate Cecelia's life will be held on�Thursday, February 18, 2016�at Waxhaw City Cemetery at�3:30 p.m. �Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh St., Charlotte NC, 28204, Pleasant Grove Campground, 658 Cottonfield Circle, Waxhaw, NC 28173, and the Union County Humane Society, P.O.
