Carolyn James Haigler, 79, went to her heavenly home on October 2, 2026. She was born March 23, 1947 to the late Bill L. James and Louise Tice James. Carolyn was a member at Austin Grove Baptist Church and was active in the WMU Ministry Group. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like crocheting and crafting. Above all else, she loved her family. Carolyn cherished every moment she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Austin Grove Baptist Church, 5919 Austin Grove Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103. Ms. Haigler will be laid to rest in the church cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00pm until 2:45pm.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Joe Haigler and brother, Don James.

Carolyn is survived by daughter, Robin H. Nassef, son, J. Scott Haigler, grandchildren, Allison Nassef, Hailey Nassef (Randy Cranmer), Khoury Nassef, Lindsey Aria (Gavin Aria), and Kaylan Tucker, one great-grandchild on the way and her cat, Ella.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Austin Grove Baptist Church to the House of Pearls Fund.
