Bode Michael Esber, 23, of Indian Trail, NC, gained his wings on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026.

He was born in Tampa, Florida on September 9th, 2002 to Michael John Esber and Tiffany Esber.

Bode graduated with honors from Butler High School in 2020, a reflection of both his intelligence and quiet dedication. He had a deep love for sports, especially baseball and MMA, and found joy in watching movies, gaming, and cooking. He had such a special love for his sisters, with whom he was most comfortable—able to be his true, silly self, creating memories filled with laughter. He aspired to attend college, earn a degree in education, and one day work with children—a path that reflected his kind heart and gentle spirit. More than anything, he cherished spending time with his best friend—his dad—creating memories that will be forever treasured.Bode was truly one of a kind—a gentle giant with quiet strength and the sweetest, most genuine smile. He was shy, incredibly kind, and remarkably intelligent. To know Bode was to understand just how special he was; he had a rare and beautiful way of touching the lives of everyone he met. The bond between Michael and Bode went far beyond that of father and son—they were truly best friends. Bode was united in heaven with his older brother Jordan Esber and grandfather Tom Smith. He is survived by father Michael Esber, mother Tiffany Esber, sisters Zoe and Marley Esber, and grandmother Joyce “Sito” Esber, Uncle Tom, Aunt Robin, and Aunt Beth.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 03, 2026  at 12:00PM at Brandon Oaks Clubhouse, 2333 Brandon Oaks Pkwy Indian Trail, NC 28079.
