Mr. Bobby Lewis Staton, 87, passed away on November 1st, 2018. He was born in Union County, NC on October 1, 1931 to the late Claude and Glennie Staton. He was a U.S. Army Special Forces Master Sergeant from December 6, 1948 to August 26, 1956 serving in Korea. � �A service to celebrate Mr. Staton's life will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church. Following the celebration of life Mr. Staton will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park with full Military Honors. �Mr. Staton is survived by his wife, Barbara Staton of the home in Marshville, NC, children;�Steve Staton of California, Linda Mareth of Marshville, NC, Carolyn Benton of Hartsville, SC, Tex Griffin of Marshville, NC, Billy Griffin of Tradesville, SC,�and a total of 59 grandchildren.
