� Betty Taylor Haney, 80, passed away July 29, 2017. Mrs. Haney was born in Anson County, NC on April 9, 1937 to the late Foster and Jennie Bet Sheppard Taylor. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, July 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Marshville. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00 PM. Mrs. Haney is survived by her husband, Roy Ned Haney; daughters, Paige Haney Staton (John), and Ashley Haney Traywick (Tommy); brother, Paul Taylor (Olive); sister, Zettie Taylor Marsh (Dale); grandchildren, Austin Perkins, Dustin Perkins, Dalton Davis, Daniel Davis, Cheyenne French, Chloe Traywick; great grandchild, Kaiden Levi Perkins; brother and sister-in-laws, Sherrill Haney (Barbara), Charles Haney (Pat), Nancy Mangum (Jimmy), and Hilda Edwards; step grandson, Michael Staton; many nieces and nephews; and Mandy Farmer Helms. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Taylor, David Taylor, Frank Taylor, and Arthur Taylor; sisters, Alice Smith, Sarah Beachum, Mary Gaddy, and Hettie Helms. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.� Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
