Barbara Janet (Gentry) Smith passed away at home on June 16th, 2023. She was born in Lexington, NC on September 23, 1946 to William David Gentry and Hannah Bertha (McLendon) Gentry. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Dan Smith, her son Patrick Smith and her granddaughter Natalie Smith.

Barbara was a one of a kind lady. She was known for her independence, hard work, endless strength, listening ear and life giving advice. She enjoyed watching golf, old westerns and sitting on her porch with her family watching the garden grow.

She is survived by her sons Danny Smith (Michelle) and Kevin Smith (Debbie) and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

To honor her wishes, the family will receive friends at the home of Danny Smith and the family will hold a private service at a later date.
