Arthur "Geoff" Raine

Arthur Geoffrey (Geoff) Raine of Monroe passed away peacefully after a brief illness on April 24th, 2026. He was surrounded by people he loved and who loved him more than words could ever express. Geoff lived a full and happy life and brought joy to most everyone he met. He was born in Brandon, County Durham in England to Emily(Nell) and Ron Raine. He met the love of his life Pamela at 15 and they were together until the day he passed with his hand in hers.

His career took him all over the world with work all over the United Kingdom, Europe, India and Morocco. In 1980 to make a better life for his family he moved from the United Kingdom to the USA. There were happy houses in Alabama and Colorado before settling in North Carolina where we found a home. He and Pam worked hard to make a great life for their kids and to make sure the home was always filled with love. It became a second home for so many others that needed it along the way.

Geoff is survived by his beloved wife Pam, his brother Mike (Maureen), his sons Jamie (Traci) and Jonathan (Christina), his grandchildren Liam, Taylor (Marlon) and Scarlett and his great grandson Winchester. He was preceded in death by his darling daughter Em (Damon). He also leaves behind many friends who share our heartbreak. He never met a stranger, was loved by so many and made the world a much brighter place. His love and laughter filled every room and zest for life was infectious. Geoff was the sun that our family revolved around and his presence will never be replaced. He would not want us to be sad in his passing, he would want us to think of a happy memory and smile, put some good into the world.
