Annie Joyce Dorough Teeter, 81, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Joyce was born in Tallasse, AL on August 22, 1938 to the late Franklin and Mattie Dorough. Joyce worked and retired from Ludwig Industries. She spent most of her time being a loving Mother, Mawmaw and Great Grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Greg Teeter. She leaves behind her brother, Harold Dorough; son, Steven Ray (Diane Ray), and son, David Teeter. She leaves behind two grandchildren, Michelle Smales (Josh) and Jeremy Teeter, also a great granddaughter, Paisley Smales. Joyce's family will celebrate her life at 2:00 PM on August 31, 2019 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, 5019 Medlin Road, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends between 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM. Rev. Jerry Faile will be officiating. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
