Alvin "Al" Thomas Jordan, 88, passed away August 10, 2018. Al was born in Union County, NC, on November 11, 1929 to the late Oscar and Lucy Tadlock Jordan. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in Marshville. Al will lay in state one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends following the commital service at the church. He will be layed to rest following military funeral rites in the church cemetery. Surviving are his sons, Tim Jordan (Dana), Dale Jordan (Kathy Wilson-Fiance); daughter, Donna Cantrell (Bill); step-son, Boyce Jordan; step-daughter, Judy Smith (Joe); brother, Johnnie Nesbit Jordan (Phyllis); grandchildren, Will Cantrell (Mikaela), Thomas Cantrell, Alex Plyler (Bliss),�Jenna Plyler; and great grandchild, Henry Plyler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two wives Bessie Jordan, and Gladis Jordan; and numerous brothers, and sisters.
