Monroe, NC Alton Raymond Arnold, 74, passed away June 24, 2018. Mr. Arnold was born in Clay County, Missouri�on May 1, 1944 to the late Raymond Jesse and Clydell Simmons Arnold. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 AM July 1, 2018 at Covenant Christian Church, 209 E. Myers St. Monroe, NC 28110. Mr. Arnold is survived by Susan Simmons; sons, Alton Arnold Jr., Chad Arnold; daughter, Tammy Rushing; brother, Terry Abbott; sister, Dorothy Baskin; grandchildren, James Codey Wade, Kaitlyn Wade, Megam Rushing, Aspen Arnold, Alton Arnold III; and great-grandchild, Derik Rushing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddy Arnold; sisters, Gayle Echols, and Patricia Conway.
