Albert "Uncle Al" Greene, 64, passed away September 30, 2018. Albert was born in Monroe, NC on August 29, 1954, to the late Barron and Blanche Reeder Greene. Albert proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Light Wheel Vehicle/Power Generator Mechanic from 1979 to 1983. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal while in the service. Albert loved his family and the closeness he shared with all his brothers and sisters. A service to celebrate Albert's life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, 5019 Medlin Rd. Monroe, NC, 28112. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Albert is survived by his loving son; Jonathan Greene (Amanda) of Myrtle Beach;��loving daughter, Joni Greene of Polkton; brothers, Brady Greene of Marshville, Kenneth Greene (Bobbie) of Monroe, Boyd Greene (Wanda) of Indian Trail; sisters, Judy Adams of Marshville, Sheila Griffin (Eddie) of Wingate;�his grandchildren Laura, Rhiannon, Michael, Robin; and his sister-in-law Vickie Greene.
